Visiting a winery for the presentation of the new VW Grand California. It was a very nice event, hosted and organised by @volkswagen.frankfurton the occasion of the market launch of the new #vwcampervan.
The place was very nice located with a great scenic view over the vineyards up to the skyline of Frankfurt in the far distance. It was a professional presentation of the new VW Grand California Campervan with all the technical facts and the highlights of the new basis the new VW Crafter and of the new designed Campervan interior.
The Grand California is available in two wheelbases, overall length of 600cm and 680cm. In the shorter model you sleep across , in the 680 model you sleep along side. The 600 model has a hightop roof with the option of a additional pull out bed (due the available height mainly for kids)
Both models come with an 2.0 liter
4 Zylinder TDI engine with 177hp and an 8-gear automatic transmission for an very attractive price and both have the option of 4motion (4x4)
The VW Grand California is really the first real alternatives (not replacement) for our VW LT Florida and I’m thinking seriously about which model to choose. The visually appealing and handling of the 600 model or the comfort of the 680 model.
Fun fact: both presented VW Grand California were white colored. As I always said “a California/Westfalia has to be white “ 😀
Overall the Event was a nice finish of our 3 week road trip thru northwest Europe.
