Camping in Italy before the Westfalia period but with our first VW campervan. A VW Multivan Magnum with 112PS water boxer. Back then one of the fastest buses. Still without a catalyst. In the same year we bought our current VW T3 California. With the Mehler Bari travel tent from 1985 still on the picture. I discovered “google photo scan” for me.

Due to the travel restrictions there is time to go through the analog photos from our early days with the VW T3 California. I can only estimate the time of the pictures from the additions on the vwbus or the location of the picture. Stay at home -no travelling - saved 99 Euro which already spent

So far I had an substitute as a cover for the propane tank fittings on the VW LT Florida. I ordered a new stainless steel bracket and a original VW plastic cover. Now with the travel ban I had enough time on my hand to restore the 30 year old cover abandoned from the VW T3 California. In den letzten Jahren in Deutschland mehr und mehr ausgewählte Stellplätze, Campingplätze in D eher selten. Leider oft muffig und otze Anmeldeprozedur. Im Ausland gemischt, Campingplätze und Stellplätze und …. Zu Beginn unserer Campervan “Karriere” 1988 war das freistehen eigentlich noch, auch mangels Infrastruktur üblich. Festival season! 🤘

After only 2 usual festivals this year, #rar2019 and #gmm19 , I bought tickets for 2 unusual (for us) festivals in 2019. One third of 2019 done. Day 117.

Travelled most of the time. Spent 25 nights in the camper and lived 72 days in Hotels. 9970km on the road. 7 European Countries 🇩🇰 🇧🇪 🇳🇱 🇱🇺 🇩🇪 🇦🇹 🇮🇹. Beaches 🏝 at the #northsea and the #mediterranaensea. Crossed the #alps 🏔 2 times. Crossed Germany already from the northernmost point to the southern point. From above Sylt to Füssen. .. Fun fact, according to #4sq I had more visits at #HardRockCafes this year than I was at home. 😟 .. 😁 Spring is here! 🚐💨☀️
