The one about the Westfalia Sherpas Translift #roofrack. The roofracks on the hightop are the original #sherpastranslift from Westfalia. I installed them 1989 as I bought the westy and took them only off 4 or 5 times for maintenance. Still working and in good condition after nearly 30 years of use. 1989 - Analogue picture from the pre VW California era.
Camping in Italy before the Westfalia period but with our first VW campervan. A VW Multivan Magnum with 112PS water boxer. Back then one of the fastest buses. Still without a catalyst. In the same year we bought our current VW T3 California. With the Mehler Bari travel tent from 1985 still on the picture. I discovered “google photo scan” for me.
Due to the travel restrictions there is time to go through the analog photos from our early days with the VW T3 California. I can only estimate the time of the pictures from the additions on the vwbus or the location of the picture. Stay at home -no travelling - saved 99 Euro which already spent
So far I had an substitute as a cover for the propane tank fittings on the VW LT Florida. I ordered a new stainless steel bracket and a original VW plastic cover. Now with the travel ban I had enough time on my hand to restore the 30 year old cover abandoned from the VW T3 California. Campervan plastic refreshment - on the oldies
What an easy, satisfying job if you have the right product. I got this tip from Patrick from pataschasworld . The product I saw also at hermann-unterwegs.de , they used it inside the vehicle. Since we have a total of 90 years of VW camper vans here 😳, some of the plastic parts have of course been bleached out and I thought this was definitely worth a try. I only cleaned the plastic bumpers with water and applied the product lightly with a sponge. This went really fast and th

In den letzten Jahren in Deutschland mehr und mehr ausgewählte Stellplätze, Campingplätze in D eher selten. Leider oft muffig und otze Anmeldeprozedur. Im Ausland gemischt, Campingplätze und Stellplätze und …. Zu Beginn unserer Campervan “Karriere” 1988 war das freistehen eigentlich noch, auch mangels Infrastruktur üblich. After only 2 usual festivals this year, #rar2019 and #gmm19 , I bought tickets for 2 unusual (for us) festivals in 2019. Only 6 countries and after a long streak no Austria and Italy so far.

Little helper - Allocacoc PowerCube
Another one of our little helpers on the road and abroad, the Allocacoc Powercube. It is very flexible with different sockets for foreign countries and gives us 4 power outlets and 2 USB outlets. You can use a regular printer / computer etc. cable to extend and it has a changeable fuse in case you overused it accidentally.
